**What it is:** An SSM feature to run commands/scripts on one or many instances without logging in.

**What it’s for:**
  * Execute administrative tasks at scale (restart service, install package, collect logs).
  * Reduce manual operations.

**Key ideas:**
  * Supports targeting by instance IDs or tags.
  * Actions are auditable.
