====== S3 Transfer Acceleration (S3TA) ======

**What it is:** A feature that can speed up transfers between clients on the internet and an S3 bucket by using AWS edge locations and the AWS global network.

**What it’s for:**
  * Faster uploads/downloads over long distances (global users, large files).

**Key ideas:**
  * Uses an accelerate endpoint (`s3-accelerate`).
  * There is an additional S3TA transfer cost when acceleration is used effectively.

**Exam cue (important):**
  * If AWS determines Transfer Acceleration is **not likely faster** than normal S3 transfer for a request, AWS **does not charge** the S3TA transfer fee for that transfer (and may bypass acceleration).
