**What it’s for:** Ensure you can handle intermediate materials.  
**Example:** You can tell a past story clearly with past simple.

===== You are ready for B1 if you can =====
  * Speak 2 minutes about a familiar topic with acceptable fluency.
  * Tell a past experience using past simple (with some irregular verbs correct).
  * Understand 70–80% of slow/normal A2 audio with transcript; 50–60% without.
  * Read short articles and guess meaning from context sometimes.
  * Write an email request/confirmation clearly.
