What it is: An Auto Scaling feature that changes desired capacity based on a schedule (date/time).

What it’s for:

• Handle predictable traffic spikes (end-of-month payroll, daily batch windows).
• Ensure instances are ready before load starts.

Key ideas:

• Use a scheduled action to set desired capacity at a specific time.
• Keep min/max as normal guardrails; don’t lock them to peak values unless you truly want fixed capacity.
