What it is: Indicators of near-native performance. What it’s for: Confirm you can operate fully in English environments. Example: You can write and speak with natural phrasing and strong control.
You are at C2 if you can
- Understand virtually all spoken/written English, including idioms and humor.
- Speak spontaneously with precise nuance and excellent pronunciation.
- Write sophisticated texts with strong style and almost no errors.
- Switch register easily (casual ↔ formal) without sounding unnatural.
