C2 Exit Criteria

What it is: Indicators of near-native performance. What it’s for: Confirm you can operate fully in English environments. Example: You can write and speak with natural phrasing and strong control.

You are at C2 if you can

  • Understand virtually all spoken/written English, including idioms and humor.
  • Speak spontaneously with precise nuance and excellent pronunciation.
  • Write sophisticated texts with strong style and almost no errors.
  • Switch register easily (casual ↔ formal) without sounding unnatural.
