Email Writing

What it is: Writing clear, polite, purpose-driven emails. What it’s for: Work communication and professional messages. Example: Ask for confirmation or request an update.

Basic structure

  • Subject: short + specific
  • Greeting: “Hi John,” / “Hello team,”
  • Purpose (1–2 lines): why you write
  • Details (bullets): what you need
  • Call to action: what you want them to do + deadline
  • Closing: “Best regards,” + name

Mini examples

  • Request: “Could you please share the updated schedule by Friday?”
  • Confirmation: “Just to confirm, we will keep the current approach.”
